My Fit Lady
As women, we tend to put ourselves last while taking care of everyone else. But, just like our cars, if we don’t get regular tune-ups, we will soon develop problems, and our bodies will break down. The stress and trials of life produce a lot of wear and tear on our bodies, and just as some people don’t take good care of their vehicles, we don’t take good care of our health.
We are mothers, wives, care-takers, sisters, daughters, nieces, cousins, friends, co-workers, granddaughters, career women, homemakers, students, and the list goes on.
For many of us, it takes years to realize we have neglected ourselves, and we don’t notice until we start having health problems or realize that life has passed us by. One day we wake up and say, “Where has time gone?” “I didn’t do this or I didn’t do that. I didn’t write that paper; I didn’t finish school, I didn’t take that trip…I didn’t take care of myself.” Question – What are you going to do with what you’ve got left?
There is nothing you can do about things that you should of, would of or could have accomplished. Yesterday is gone forever. We can’t do anything about it, but we can change how today will affect tomorrow.
So…listen up. I have just one question to ask you. It’s the same question I asked myself. “What are you going do with what you’ve got left? That’s right, the years you have left or the time you have left with your children, spouse, family? What are you going to do with the time you have left to exercise and get healthy? What about those goals you didn’t reach, dreams you lost sight of and relationships that need salvaging? What are you going to do with the body temple you have been given to care for?
Are you neglecting the physical, emotional, spiritual or mental aspects of your life? You may not be happy with the previous chapters of your life but remember, you write the end of your story. So, come on lady, let’s get healthy!
